Colorend Ltd’s commitment to maintaining professional standards across the company and all its commercial activities is and always will be an ongoing process. An integral part of this commitment is the following accreditations and professional body memberships. If you require any further information about our professional standards please contact.
ISO 9001 Accreditation
ISO 9000 is a series of standards, developed and published by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), that define, establish, and maintain a quality assurance system for manufacturing and service industries.
The standards are available through national standards bodies. ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based.
ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organizations wishing to meet the standard must fulfil
Third-party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that organizations meet the requirements of ISO 9001. Over a million organizations worldwide are independently certified, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.
Each month thousands of contractors and consultants (suppliers) apply for work with public and private sector organisations (buyers). To win work, they must meet the buyer’s health and safety standards.
Assessing suppliers’ health and safety competence is usually a lengthy and time consuming process. Suppliers can sometimes meet one buyer’s Health and Safety standards but not another. Being CHAS approved reduces duplication as suppliers compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers.
CHAS assesses applicants
- Health and safety policy statement;
- Their organisation for health and safety;
- Their specific health and safety arrangements to a standard acceptable to our buyers and to others.
Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA)
The Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) is the recognised trade association for the external wall insulation (EWI) industry, representing the major system designers, a nationwide network of specialist installers and the key component suppliers. INCA provides technical advice and installation best practice for EWI to Government, clients and other key stakeholders.
EWI is crucial to meeting the UK target of an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050 compared with 1990 levels, and INCA and its members are at the forefront of transforming the energy efficiency of homes and businesses in the UK under the Government’s flagship schemes, the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO). By applying the latest skills, innovations and techniques, INCA members are delivering high quality new build and refurbishment projects in the non-residential and domestic sectors.
In order to hold INCA membership, companies must meet the INCA criteria for membership and operate in accordance with the INCA Code of Professional Practice. This gives clients using INCA members the confidence that they are working with competent and reputable Specialist Contractors that will deliver to the highest quality standards. INCA System Designers are required to hold either British Board of Agrément (BBA) certification or European Technical Approval (ETA) for their systems and INCA Contractors must have a proven track record of delivering EWI projects.
NHBC’s purpose is to raise house-building standards to protect homeowners.
NHBC Standards is a document that sets the benchmark for acceptable levels of design, material specification and workmanship for newly-built homes registered with NHBC.
NHBC has worked with the industry to develop a ‘Consumer Code for Home Builders’, which became effective on 1 April 2010 for all NHBC registered builders.
NHBC registered builders and developers with technical support and assistance to help at every stage of new home construction to provide guidance on Standards, regulations, research and other technical issues.
